About the Tournament

The Mighty Tog Championship is an individual angler competition where each entrant must hook, land, and weigh in their own fish. With multiple prize categories, optional Calcuttas, and cash prizes up to $2,500, this is one of the most exciting Blackfish tournaments in the Northeast.

Key Dates & Times


  • Captain’s Meeting:

    Friday, October 17 | 5–6 PM at J&B Tackle (also streamed on Facebook Live)


  • Fishing Hours:

    Saturday & Sunday, October 18–19 | 7 AM – 3 PM


  • Weigh-In Hours:

    Noon – 3:30 PM at Boats Inc., 133 Main St, Niantic, CT


  • Awards Ceremony:

    Sunday at the newly remodeled Dad’s Restaurant (light fare provided, BYOB for additional drinks)

All participants must follow official rules and state/federal fishing regulations. Safety is the responsibility of each angler and vessel. Electric reels and non-traditional capture methods are not permitted.
